What Is Thomas Rhett Doing At A Drake Concert?

Earlier this year, Thomas Rhett shared with Cody Alan that he had some performance tricks up his sleeve. Later we would find out that some of these "tricks" would have been sparked by the hip hop superstar, Drake!

As TR readies himself to hit the road on his ‘Very Hot Summer Tour,’ he is also preparing fans that he will be bringing them something that they have never seen before.

After attending a Drake concert, Rhett had many surprise takeaways that he hopes to incorporate into his shows. TR shared with PopCulture.com that he spent most of the concert leaning into his producer’s ear to whisper, 'We should try that. We need to do that. That probably cost a half million dollars a night. We can’t do that.'"

Rhett pulls inspiration from artists of all genres. "I love more than anything going to shows of people that I feel like continually, year by year, set the bar. You go to those shows not only to have a blast but to learn because those are the people that are the trendsetters and the people that every year when they open an awards show, it’s going to be the sickest thing you’ve ever seen. And going to Drake, it was really, really neat to watch all the chances and risks he took as far as production goes," he continued. "And the merch – you learn so much from going to a lot of different shows.”

Thomas' newest track, “Remember You Young” debuted alongside a lyric video on Friday (April 19). "This song is about the moments with loved ones solidified in my mind forever," Thomas shared on Instagram. "What my eyes will see even when we’re grandparents to our babies’ babies. Remember You Young.'"
