Cassadee Pope Reveals Phases Of Life That Led To ‘Stages’ The Album

The past two years have been anything short of a walk in the park for Cassadee Pope. Releasing her emotions into her latest album, ‘Stages’ reveals the full story behind love, loss and the emotional rollercoaster ride that she has endured.

In a recent interview with Cody Alan, Cassadee opened up about her emotional and honest approach to her new album.

Spoiler Alert: She’s doing better than ever and has a book recommendation for anyone out there also going through “the muck.”

“You’ve been through some stuff,” Said Cody “You’ve bounced back over and over again, so how have you had those ups and downs and kept your sanity?”

“I just kept my eye on the end game,” replied Cassadee earnestly. “I was like, There is no way that I am going to feel like this forever. I’m not going to let that happen. I want to be happy.”

Cassadee’s newest single, “If My Heart Had A Heart” explores the flood of emotions that come along with a breakup. Heartbreak is a powerful role in Cassadee's story and plays a central reoccurring theme on this album.

“I think sitting in the muck is a really important thing. I think you get to know yourself better when you are in pain and going through something really tough, because, then you realize your power and your strength.”

Although Cassadee is head over heels with her current beau Sam Palladio, she has not always been so lucky in love. However, she has learned to love herself first.

“There is a book called ‘You Are A Bad Ass,’ by Jen Sinctero that completely changed my life. As soon as you love yourself and you embrace your imperfections… It’s so empowering.” says Cassadee.

'Stages' is available now and be sure to catch Cassadee on the road as she headlines the 'CMT Next Women of Country Tour' with guests Clare Dunn and Hannah Ellis. Tickets are available at CMT by clicking HERE.
