'Yodel Kid' Mason Ramsey Drops Debut Country Single: Listen!

Something tells us Hank Williams, Sr., would be proud.

Mason Ramsey, the 11-year-old sensation who first gained fame in a now viral video yodeling at his local Walmart, is taking his fame to the next level with the release of “Famous.”

Mason’s debut single, co-written by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, Corey Crowder, Sarah Buxton and Canaan Smith, drops today (April 27) across all digital retailers.

“I’d been to Nashville a few times before, but never thought something like this would happen,” Mason says of signing his first record deal. “It’s a dream to sign with Atlantic and Big Loud. I loved recording ‘Famous’ and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Mason’s new country music peers have sounded off online in reaction to the Illinois native’s debut release.

Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney writes he “freaking love[s] this song,” while RaeLynn posts she’s “so obsessed” with Mason. Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley pens Mason “sounds amazing” and “Famous” “is a smash.” Chris Lane, Jake Owen and more have also reacted to Mason’s quick rise to country notoriety.

Watch Mason’s performance of his favorite singer Hank Sr.'s "Hey Good Lookin'"on The Ellen DeGeneres Show below. He’s also set to perform “Famous” tonight during FGL’s headlining show at Stagecoach in Indio, California.

Additional live appearances will be announced soon.
