Thomas Rhett tells Rolling Stone he’s brought on both the same music director and choreographer that works with pop megastar Justin Timberlake to collaborate with him on his new Life Changes Tour.
The country star reveals he and music director Nick Whitehouse and choreographer A.J. Harpold have created “a well-rounded show” in which no one will want “to get up and go grab a beer.”
“I don’t see anybody else doing what we’ve done this year, production-wise,” Thomas says. “It’s nice for country audiences to see something a little bit outside the box.”
Thomas goes on to say he has set a goal to win Entertainer of the Year in his career.
“The only way to do that is to make your show above and beyond anything else that's out there,” he says. “While understanding that what we do is super-unconventional for this genre, we're trying to make the most fun show humanly possible, whatever that looks like.”
The Life Changes Tour continues in Augusta, Georgia, on April 19.
