Carrie Underwood Gives Health Update: 'About 90% There'

Carrie Underwood is “healing pretty nicely.”

The country superstar sounds off on her recovery from that scary fall at her home last November in a new blog post on her website. After undergoing surgery on her wrist and receiving more than 40 stitches in her face, Carrie writes she’s “doing pretty darn good these days.”

“My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90% there…and the docs say that last 10% will come in time. And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well. I definitely feel more like myself than I have in a while,” she pens.

Carrie goes on to share taking downtime to focus on herself has allowed her to spend more time with husband Mike Fisher and 3-year-old son Isaiah.

“One of the silver linings for me in this healing process is the time I’ve gotten to spend with Mike and Isaiah,” “The Champion” singer says. “I’ve been calling it ‘forced relaxation.’ Sometimes I think things happen in order to make us slow down.”

Carrie has also spent her free time at home cheering on Mike's team, the Nashville Predators. Her “favorite hockey player” came out of NHL retirement to help lead the team to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second-consecutive year.

“I hope you’re all ready for more silly posts of me at Preds’ playoff games,” she says. “One more run for the Cup! Go Preds!”
