Maren Morris Teases New Project: 'I'm Sworn to Secrecy'

What Maren Morris can’t say is saying so much.

The “I Could Use a Love Song” singer spoke exclusively with CMT’s Cody Alan this week about a secret project coming down the pike and teased she will reveal all in the coming weeks.

“It’s not really having to do with an album,” Maren says of the unknown venture. “It’s just like a separate thing that’s coming out in a couple of weeks, and I’m sworn to secrecy. I wish I could say more.”

Does the “separate thing” involve her upcoming tour with pop superstar Niall Horan? Could it concern her first-of-its-kind modeling contract with New York City-based agency Wilhelmina Models?

Her recent appointment as honorary chairwoman of the Texas Music Project doesn’t have anything to do with the secret project, does it? Or could her highest charting solo single to date (and could-be first-ever No. 1 song), “I Could Use a Love Song,” point toward clues about whatever she’s keeping from fans?

Wedding details? Grammy news? Elton John tributes?

As more questions than answers continue to pile up, Maren promises Cody the reveal of the secret project is “coming out very soon.”
