Michael Ray Issues Apology After Arrest

Michael Ray is saying he's sorry.

The “Get To You” singer released a statement Wednesday (Dec. 21) following his early-morning arrest in his hometown of Eustis, Florida.

Michael was charged with driving under the influence and possession of cannabis oil, according to a police report.

“I want to apologize to my fans, family, and my hometown community for placing myself in this situation,” he says in the statement. “I am so very sorry for the disappointment these events have caused everyone. I know it will take time; however, I will do everything I can to rebuild your trust.”

Police were dispatched to a McDonald’s around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning after Michael was involved in a minor auto collision.

The singer was arrested at the scene after reportedly failing a number of sobriety tests.

He was released from jail on a reported $6,000 bail.
