Garth Brooks Hints at Stadium Tour

Garth Brooks may soon have something in common with Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line and Taylor Swift.

In a new interview with reporters backstage at his first of seven concerts in Nashville, the country legend hints he, like a select group of country artists before him, could soon be touring stadiums in 2019.

“Maybe it’s time to look at, can you make a stadium show personal? Because I didn’t think you could make an arena as personal as you could a bar, and these people proved me wrong.” Garth says. “That’s the next thing.”

The “Ask Me How I Know” singer tells CMT’s Cody Alan the announcement is coming soon.

“If these guys can pull off what they’re assembling right now—we’ll make the announcement probably in January or February—the New Year’s resolution will make the last three years look small,” he says. “This is going to be stupid! It’s going to take us to places we’ve never been.”

Garth closes out his world tour with two final shows in Nashville on Friday and Saturday (Dec. 22 and Dec. 23).
