For Garth Brooks, there’s no greater joy than... singing with Carrie Underwood’s husband?
You heard us.
The great G told reporters backstage this weekend before the first of eight concerts in Nashville that he had hoped to snag Mike Fisher, famous husband to the country star and now retired former captain of the Nashville Predators, to join him on stage at the Bridgestone Arena, home to the NHL team.
“There’s a dream of mine that started with a Carrie Underwood post of her husband singing ‘The River’ three years ago. And I told him, come on, let’s finish it here!”
But according to Garth, Mike is “scared to death” and hasn’t agreed to take his singing from the car to the big stage in Nashville.
Come on, Mike!
Garth still has time to convince him, though. The legend returns to Nashville with more shows December 15-17 and December 22-23.
