Country stars are putting their foot down when it comes to online rumors.
Blake Shelton is shutting down reports that he held a meeting with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan last week at his restaurant in Tishamingo, Oklahoma.
A photo of the pair began circulating on the Internet, causing social media to blow up with rumors Blake and the politician had a “secret meeting.”
“I can’t even fathom the gossip I read about myself anymore. Seriously.. Literally walked into a restaurant WITH MY FAMILY (including children, LOTS of children), bumped to a politician that I’ve never even met before, said hello and took pictures (like I would try to do with anyone I meet who asks),” Blake says.
He adds he “immediately left because it was too cold for the outdoor area [they] had reserved.”
Meanwhile, Maren Morris is firing back at a Twitter critic who asked if she received a breast augmentation and added “fake boobs are disgusting.”
“Not that it would be any of your business, but I didn’t,” she responded. “But guess what? You just won a meet & greet of your choice so you can come and say that to my face!”
Many fans responded in favor of both Blake’s and Maren’s responses.
