Thomas Rhett On the Legendary Rocker Who Inspires Him

Thomas Rhett is a little bit country and a little bit rock n’ roll.

The country star tells London-based digital magazine Taylor he is inspired by The Rolling Stones and learned about working the stage from front man Mick Jagger.

“...My first concert was The Rolling Stones,” he says. “To this day, they’re still my favorite band. I think Mick Jagger has had a lot of influence in the way that I move around stage.”

But his British inspiration doesn’t stop there.

TR adds he’s been inspired by English rock band The Darkness since he was a kid.

“They were in Nashville, and at that time,” he says, “they were my favorite band (I was such a rock n’ roll kid), and I remember being really inspired by them.”

Thomas Rhett just earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album for Life Changes. He begins his Life Changes Tour 2018 April 5 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
