Taylor Swift Reacts to Winning CMA Song of the Year

Initiate *shocked face Taylor.*

Taylor Swift claimed her first CMA Awards win since 2013 Wednesday night (Nov. 8) at the 51st annual event. The former country star, who was also awarded the second of only three CMA Pinnacle Awards in 2013, took the trophy for CMA Song of the Year for penning Little Big Town’s “Better Man.”

Unable to attend the CMAs due to rehearsals for her performance this weekend on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, Taylor took to social media to share her reaction.

“In NYC for SNL rehearsals. I LOVE YOU @littlebigtown and CMAs,” she captioned a video of herself watching the announcement on TV.

Since her decision to go pop in 2014, the “Look What You Made Me Do Singer” has been vocal about her continued support of country music, telling the 2015 crowd at the 50th Annual ACM Awards in Dallas she’s “so happy that [she] learned to write songs in a town like Nashville.”

“I’m so grateful that I learned what hard work is from my heroes who are sitting here," she added at the time. "I’m so unbelievably proud that I learned to treat people with kindness and respect from country music. I love you so much.”

Taylor’s second pop release, reputation, drops Friday.
