Kenny Chesney's Live Album Tops Billboard 200

No Shoes Nation came out in record numbers to buy Kenny Chesney’s new live album.

The country star’s Live In No Shoes Nation tops the Billboard 200 chart this week with a whopping 219,000 copies sold in its first week.

Those numbers make Kenny’s release the first live release to debut at No. 1 since Hope for Haiti Now did it in 2010.

Kenny’s eighth No. 1 album in his catalog, Live In No Shoes Nation also earns the “Pretty Girls” singer the second most chart-topping albums for any country artist. Garth Brooks currently holds the record with 9.

Kenny sold the bulk of his live albums in a deal that coupled concert tickets sold with a free copy of the live album.

Kenny’s Trip Around the Sun Tour kicks off in 2018.
