The music world is mourning the loss of a legend.
Tom Petty died Monday (Oct. 2) after suffering a cardiac arrest.
According to multiple reports, the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers front man was rushed to the local hospital after being found unconscious and not breathing at his Malibu home.
He was eventually taken off life support at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital.
Mr. Petty released 13 studio albums and most recently played the famed Hollywood Bowl on Monday, Sept. 25. The three-time Grammy winner was honored as the 2017 MusicCares Person of the Year.
Mr. Petty is survived by two daughters, Adria Petty and Kimberly Violette Petty, and his wife, Dana York.
He was 66.
