Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie To Judge American Idol

It's official!

Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie have been confirmed as the final two judges set for the American Idol.

The country star posted a video on Twitter confirming the long-speculated news, adding he's looking forward to seeing "all the talent that America has."

“I’m excited at the chance to help some deserving artists reach their dreams,” Luke says. “To be in a position in my career to help facilitate this along with the other judges is just a complete honor. It’s gonna be a blast!”

Lionel, who originally met Luke at the 2013 CMT Music Awards and even shares a CMT Music Award with the Georgia native, is also "very excited to be joining Katy, Luke and Ryan on American Idol."

“As a singer, songwriter and producer, I feel I can bring a great deal of experience to the table," Lionel says.t "It’s going to be so much fun!”

Katy Perry was announced as the show's first judge back in May, while Ryan Seacrest revealed he would resume hosting duties in July.

TMZ reports the new judges will report to work for the first day of auditions on Tuesday (10/3).

American Idol premieres on ABC in March 2018.
