One thing you won’t see in the Akins kids’ rooms is the color pink.
Thomas Rhett recently took People.com inside the nurseries of daughters Willa Gray and Ada James, and as mom Lauren Akins explains, there was one design restriction.
“I was adamant about not having a giant pink room for my girls,” she says. “But we love it.”
Lauren adds she’s “not a pink girl” and notes baby Ada’s nursery includes the color blue.
Among the special touches in the “dreamy” rooms—designed by April Tomlin Interiors—are Dr. Seuss books and a framed copy of a photo of Willa Gray that Lauren and Thomas Rhett used to share their pregnancy news with their families.
