Carrie, Dolly Celebrate Reba's 40th Opry Anniversary

When you’re making the guest list for a Grand Ole Opry celebration, only country’s biggest stars will do.

Reba marked her 40th anniversary this weekend at the historic Nashville venue, and Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton and Vince Gill made appearances to pay tribute to the legendary guest of honor.

“It’s always an honor to be on this stage, especially tonight. You are an inspiration to us all,” Carrie told Reba.

The two performed Reba’s iconic hit “Does He Love You,” while Dolly and Vince showed up to wish Reba more congratulatory messages.

The fiery redhead called her debut four decades ago on September 17, 1977 “nerve-wracking” and “scary” but thanked those in attendance.

“I couldn’t have done it without you, and I wouldn’t have wanted to,” she says.

During the show, Reba also received a plaque to commemorate more than 40 million in RIAA certifications across 27 albums.
