Country music and football go together like biscuits and gravy.
The signature open for Monday Night Football debuted this week on ESPN, marking the return of Hank Williams, Jr. and the addition of two new superstar acts.
Joining Hank for the all-new “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night” is Florida Georgia Line and Jason Derulo.
“We all grew up watching Monday Night Football,” FGL’s Brian Kelley says, “and it’s surreal to join Jason Derulo and Hank Williams Jr. on this new version that gives a nod back but also a step forward!”
Adds Tyler Hubbard, “This is a huge honor to be a part of such a legendary song and night!”
Hank Jr. is back on MNF with his “rowdy friends” after a six-year hiatus. The original Monday Night Football theme song earned the artist four Grammys between 1991 and 1994.
See the new version every Monday night on ESPN.
