Montgomery Gentry's Troy Gentry Dies in Helicopter Crash

Troy Gentry has died.

One-half of country music duo Montgomery Gentry was tragically killed in a helicopter crash Friday (9/8) in Medford, New Jersey, the duo's record label has confirmed.

The pair was scheduled to perform at the Flying W Airport & Resort in Medford.

Best known for their hits “My Town,” “Hell Yeah,” “Where I Come From” and “Gone,” Montgomery Gentry released their most recent album, Folks Like Us, in 2015.

Mr. Gentry’s family asks for privacy at this time. He was 50 years old.
