Surprise! Eric Church fans woke up Friday (9/1) with a new release from the man everyone calls Chief.
With very little warning, the country superstar dropped 61 Days in Church, 30 initial live recordings from various stops on his recent Holdin’ My Own Tour, on Apple Music.
“I had so much fun learning songs that were unique to whatever city we found ourselves in,” Eric says. “I learned a lot about each place, and it was special to see the crowd react to the songs that were only for them. I’m glad we recorded it and can relive it forever.”
But there’s more!
Additional live recordings will be released chronologically via Apple Music through the end of the year, bringing the 61 Days in Church total tracklist to more than 100 live songs.
A double disk collectible box set and vinyl are set for release on Record Story Day 2018.
