Recap: ACM Honors Taping Pays Tribute to Country Legends

Country legends on one stage can only mean ACM Honors took over Nashville.

The annual event, which honors the winners that didn’t make the April broadcast of the ACM Awards, featured star-studded appearances, legendary tributes and even a few tears Wednesday (8/23) at the historic Ryman auditorium.

Among the most iconic of the 2017 honorees where Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, George Strait and Reba.

Additionally, Brad Paisley presented Dolly Parton with the Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award for her Imagination Library program and for her work in the wake of the East Tennessee wildfires.

Among the youngest at the 11th annual honors was Kelsea Ballerini, who shed a tear accepting her Gene Weed Milestone Award for scoring No. 1 records with her first three singles.

Other appearances were made by Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Maren Morris Cassadee Pope, Thomas Rhett Chris Stapleton, and Nashville’s Charles Esten and Clare Bowen, who accepted the Tex Ritter Award on behalf of the entire cast.

The ACM Honors airs September 12 on CBS.
