Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton & More React to Glen Campbell's Death

The world has lost one of its greatest entertainers.

Glen Campbell passed away Tuesday (8/8) after a battle with Alzheimer's disease, and country music and the world of entertainment came together to offer condolences to his family.

Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton and Tim McGraw as well as Kathy Lee Gifford, Ellen DeGeneres, Senator John McCain and more each took to social media to react to the loss. 

Mr. Campbell released a string of hits in his more than 50-year career, including “Gentle on My Mind,” “Galveston” and “Rhinestone Cowboy.” Also known as an actor and TV host, the country great hosted The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS from 1969-1972.

Most recently, I’ll Be Me, a 2014 documentary, chronicled Mr. Campbell’s farewell tour and struggle with Alzheimer’s.

He was 81.
