Brett Eldredge doesn’t want to be a castaway to love.
The country superstar, who drops his self-titled third studio album today (8/4), opens up CMT’s Cody Alan about why he’s unlucky in love, revealing he’s made a habit of running from it.
“I love music. I love chasing down my dream, and sometimes I sacrifice love for my love for music,” Brett says exclusively. “I get so far away from love that I realize that I need it in my life, and I’m always stuck somewhere in between trying to get back to it.”
The “Somethin’ I’m Good At” singer croons about his relationship with love in “Castaway,” the final track on his new album.
“I got deep on this one,” Brett adds. “That’s what this song is all about... It’s just my message and my letter and note to love and [my] relationship with love.”
