Why Keith Urban Is Apologizing to Country Fans

Keith Urban is saying sorry to fans in Oregon.

The country star took to social media after his performance at Country Crossings to apologize to concertgoers who unexpectedly lost their seats.

The misunderstanding happened when Keith asked the fans at his show to come closer to the stage. Fans in the general admission section obliged and “rushed” the stage, forcing fans in the VIP section out.

“I do have to say an apology to the various officials who were taking care of everything tonight,” Keith says in a personal video after the incident. “There were supposed to be fire code breaks on the side of the stage, and I completely had you guys run over that, so I’m sorry.”

Country Crossings also issued an apology on behalf of the country star.

“Keith apologies to the crowd and would like to thank all the great volunteers, security, and law enforcement for getting the crowd so excited. He loves his Oregon fans!”

Keith performs a string of fairs and festivals through October.
