Chris Stapleton Claims 2017's Two Best-Selling Albums of 2017 So Far

No one told Chris Stapleton country music albums don’t sell.

The big-voiced singer has claimed the top-two best-selling albums of 2017 so far, according to the latest numbers from Nielsen Music.

His latest release From A Room: Volume 1 has sold 484,000 units so far, and his 2015 debut Traveller has sold another 396,000 this year, earning the LPs the title of the No. 1 and No. 2 best-selling of 2017 so far, respectively.

Despite those massive numbers, R&B and hip-hop takes the win as music’s best-selling genre.

The albums sales are calculated based on a combination of streaming, downloads and physical sales for the December 30, 2016 to June 29, 2017, period.
