Dierks Bentley Predicts New Album Release for 'Next Summer'

Dierks Bentley needs a year of living before his next record can drop.

The country star reveals in a new interview with CMT’s Cody Alan that he “trying to write a little bit” for his next album but reveals he doesn’t anticipate releasing any new music for a while.

“Mary, my manager, she’s wanting me to write a bunch of songs... My publisher, they’re all like, ‘OK. Come on, let’s get it going.’ Guys, I’m out in the middle tour. I’ve got Jon Pardi out here, Cole Swindell. I’m trying to survive. [I] give it all I have every night on stage, try to go home and recuperate and hang out with my kids. I’m trying to write a little bit but really it’s going to be a little bit before the next record comes out. Probably next summer,” Dierks revealed exclusively before his What the Hell Tour stop in Cincinnati.

For now, Dierks has announced the new single from his latest album Black will be “What the Hell Did I Say.”

The single, which also inspired the name of the singer’s latest tour, “perfectly captures the anything-goes spirit out there this year,” Dierks says.

The What the Hell Tour returns to the road with stops in Jacksonville, Florida (7/13), Raleigh, North Carolina (7/14) and Virginia Beach, Virginia (7/15).
