In the country, everybody’s family. But Blake Shelton just found out he really is related to a famous newswoman!
HLN’s Robin Meade participated in a segment called “Our Journeys Home” on the cable channel in an effort to investigate her family’s roots, and what she discovered is she’s got a little BS in her family tree.

According to research, Blake and Robin share a great-great-great-grandfather in Rhodes Meade, Sr., a Congregationalist Baptist minister from Kentucky, making the pair fourth cousins.

“Are you freaking out? I’m freaking out right now. We’re family, so I guess a family reunion’s in order,” Blake says in the clip.
And Robin and Blake have a lot in common. Not only does Robin host HLN’s Morning Express, but like her fourth cousin, she has also dabbled in country music herself.
