Tim McGraw and Faith Hill aren’t just residents of Nashville.

The country music couple owns a private estate in the Bahamas, too, and they took Architectural Digest inside their Bahamian digs—which they call “L'île d’Anges”—for their July issue.

Purchased in 2003, Tim and Faith’s home wasn’t move-in ready until 10 years later.

“We set out to build a house,” Faith explains. “We had no idea we had to build everything else. We basically had to build a little town.”

Not only does the couple own the estate, but they also own the 20-acre island it sits on. When it finally came time to move in, Tim and Faith recall their first reaction to the beauty of their Bahamas abode.

“And when we finally got down there, it was early evening, and the landscaping was done and the house was furnished and open and there were candles lit, and it just took our breath away,” Tim says. “It still does, every time we go there. Every time we land the plane and walk onto the beach and head up to the house, we turn to each other and say, ‘This is the best place in the world.’”
