Kenny Chesney, FGL Nab 'Billboard Music Awards' Wins

Country music was well represented at this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards.

Kenny Chesney led country’s winners with two wins for top country tour and top country collaboration for “Settin’ the World on Fire” with P!nk.  Florida Georgia Line, Blake Shelton and Chris Stapleton were also winners at Sunday’s epic night of music from Las Vegas.

Chris’ Traveller won top country album, top country song went to Florida Georgia Line’s “H.O.L.Y” and Blake took the overall top country artist win.  In addition, Hillary Scott & the Scott Family took home top Christian song for “Thy Will” from their 2016 debut collection Love Remains.

Drake was the night’s big winner, taking home 13 honors and surpassing Adele’s 2012 record for most Billboard Music Award wins in one night.

Among the night’s big performers was Sam Hunt, who delivered “Body Like a Back Road.” John Legend joined Florida Georgia Line for a mashup of “Surefire” and “H.O.L.Y.”
