Katy Perry, Chris Daughtry In Talks to Judge 'American Idol'

Buzz surrounding the recently announced American Idol revival doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

New reports indicate Katy Perry is nearing a deal to serve as the anchor judge for the ABC reboot.

According to TMZ, Idol execs "set their sights" on Katy after their bid for Kelly Clarkson "went south and she joined The Voice."

And while AI didn’t get their OG winner, another report speculates that rocker Chris Daughtry is also in talks to serve as a judge.

Daughtry is the third-highest selling Idol alum behind Kelly and country's own Carrie Underwood.

Look for judges’ unveiling as soon as this week! The American Idol reboot lands at ABC in March of 2018.
