ABC Passes on Reba's 'Red-Blooded'

Red-Blooded is lifeless at ABC.

The Southern Gothic drama starring Reba will not move forward at the network, Deadline reports.

The country star exclusively told Cody that ABC had minimal notes for the show after she shot the pilot earlier this year, adding executives were “thrilled to pieces” with the results.

Still, though, ABC has passed on the project.

Word is the show may not be dead just yet. Deadline goes on to say the show is being shopped around by ABC Studios for a run on cable.

If the show finds life again, Reba will play the role of “Ruby Adair,” a sheriff of a small town in Kentucky, who finds her views challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern decent is sent to help her solve a crime.
