Deacon Claybourne is your new CMT Music Awards host.
CMT has announced Nashville star Charles Esten will take the reigns of the loudest night in country music set to air June 7 on CMT.
In addition, Blake Shelton, Brett Eldredge, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett are among the first artists announced to perform on the fan-voted show. Additional artists, presenters and special guests will be announced soon.
The news comes just after the announcement Nashville, which has shattered ratings records for CMT, will return with new episodes Thursday, June 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. A new sixth season of Nashville is slated to premiere early next year.
Nominations for the CMT Music Awards will be announced on Tuesday, May 9. Fan voting begins the same day at CMT.com and continues until Monday, June 5 at 12:01 a.m. ET.
