Hunter Hayes is a doggy daddy—times two!
The “Yesterday’s Song” singer exclusively reveals he has adopted a new dog named Ella.
“We met her and she ran right into our hearts. She’s just the sweetest,” Hunter tells Cody of Ella, who’s been a part of the family for three days. “She’s going to make a good bus dog as well. She’s a lot more active than Cole—like a lot—but it’ll be very entertaining.”
The whippet/beagle mix joins Hunter’s first pooch adoptee Cole, a retired racing Greyhound.

He and girlfriend Libby rescued both Ella and Cole from their respective shelters, and the process has been transformative for the couple.

“We got her from a rescue here in town, Proverbs 12:10. They do really cool stuff. After adopting Cole, we loved the rescue thing,” he adds.
Hunter recently partnered with Heartgard Plus and the Warrior Canine Connection to raise awareness about the unique healing quality of dogs, particularly for military veterans and their families.
