Trisha Yearwood is a big name country music, but she’s also earned a name in the culinary world. And she could be rewarded big for it!
Mrs. Garth Brooks recently took to social media to reveal her Food Network show Trisha’s Southern Kitchen has been nominated for an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Culinary Program.”
She’ll take a night off from the world tour on which she and her famous husband have embarked to attend the ceremony.
“The boss has given me the night off. If we don’t win, we’ve already got an Emmy,” Trisha says holding her puppy, whose name happens to be Emmy. “And, if we do win, hopefully... hopefully the other Emmy won’t be this heavy.”
The 2017 nomination is the second for Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. The program already won for Outstanding Culinary Program in 2013, tying with Best Thing I Ever Made.
The 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards are set to take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on April 30.
