The Home Team and Roc Nation are joining forces!
Thomas Rhett is teaming up with rapper-producer Jay Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation to launch Home Team Publishing, Nashville’s newest home for up-and-coming songwriters.

“Songwriting has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember,” Thomas says. “I was a songwriter before I was an artist, and I was lucky enough to find a team that believed in me really early on. Songwriting [is] the foundation for my artist career, so I’m excited and honored to be able to invest in the future of the songwriting community.”
In addition to pairing with Jay Z for the venture, TR will also partner with dad Rhett Akins for Home Team Publishing.

A longtime songwriting duo, Thomas and his dad penned the star’s most recent No. 1 hit, “Star of the Show,” becoming the first father-son duo to top the Billboard country charts with a song they wrote together.
Meanwhile, Jay Z founded Roc Nation in 2008, opening an office in Nashville in 2016 to expand reach into country music.
