George Strait Once Settled A Tiff Between Miranda Lambert & Her Dad

George Strait is the king of country and a master of conflict resolution.

Miranda Lambert opened concerts for the country legend in 2006, and in a new video online, she remembers the time George provided much-needed comic relief when she and her dad were in an argument over her now popular forearm tattoo of reverse guns and wings.

George got word of the father-daughter disagreement and ordered nearly one hundred press-on tattoos for the band and crew to put on to surprise Miranda.

“It sort of like broke the ice between me and my dad and he talked to me again and wasn’t mad anymore,” Miranda says, “so I like to say that George Strait helped mend my dad and my relationship over the tattoo incident.”

George kicks off his multi-show run of 2 Nights of No. 1s in this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. This time, Cam will serve as the King’s opening act.

George returns to Las Vegas for more shows in 2017 on July 28-29, September 1-2 and December 8-9.
