He’s been waiting for a little bitty while for this honor!
Alan Jackson will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as the 2017 modern era inductee, it was announced Wednesday (4/5) in Nashville.
The country legend says being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame is a dream come true.
“People are always asking me, you’ve done everything. What's your next goal,” Alan said at the ceremony announcing his induction. “What goals do you have left? I never say the Country Music Hall of Fame ‘cause I thought that was kind of pretentious to think that I deserve to be in there. I never say that. Now I can say that. This about the last dream on the list right here.”
The late Jerry Reed will be inducted in the veteran category, while Don Schlitz will join the hall as a songwriter.
The three will be officially inducted later this year.
