Don’t expect a President Manning in the White House anytime soon.
Peyton Manning, NFL great and self-professed fan of country music, responded to rumors this weekend that he had dreams of a political career.
“I have no idea where that comes from,” the former Denver Broncos quarterback said at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas. “A few weeks ago I was gonna go run a team. Last week, I was gonna go be in the Senate ... next week, I’ll probably be an astronaut.”
Peyton reiterated in closing that he has “no interest in getting into the political world” but confessed he hopes to continue to serve and give back to the community.
The two-time Super Bowl champion recently celebrated his 41st birthday on March 24.
