“I haven’t heard anything about that,” she says. “I know nothing about that.”

According to a report in Variety, though, executives for Idol are said to be in talks with NBC to bring back the one-time ratings juggernaut, which ran for 15 seasons and saw the discovery of big-name stars Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Scotty McCreery and more.

Word is an American Idol reboot would replace one of the two yearly cycles of The Voice, NBC’s original singing competition.

Whiles reps for NBC and Idol producer Fremantle declined to comment, talks are reportedly ongoing and no deal is yet in place.
