Sam Hunt 'Open' To Collaborations on New Album

Sam Hunt wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to collaborate on his next album.

The country superstar reveals exclusively he’s “open” to a duet with a fellow artist on his forthcoming sophomore release “if the right thing comes along.”

“A lot of things about what I do I calculate and plan and can anticipate,” Sam tells Cody during a recent interview at RodeoHouston, “but there’s a lot about the creative process that is just organic and happens naturally in the creative process. [A collaboration] could be something that comes about depending on the ideas that the good Lord sends me as I’m continuing to write this record. Maybe something will come through.”

Sam’s first single from the project, “Body Like a Back Road,” was inspired by his fiancée Hannah Lee Fowler, whom, he adds, he is excited to bring out on his upcoming 15 In A 30 Tour with him.

“There’s a lot of downtime in the afternoon a lot of times when we’re playing at night,” he says. “I’m excited to have a buddy to hang out with.”

Sam kicks off his first-ever headlining tour June 1 in Cleveland. No official release date has been set for his second album.
