Country isn’t the only thing you’ll get on Blake Shelton’s latest tour. You’ll get Jazz, too!
Jazz is the loyal German shepherd that belongs to Blake’s tourmate RaeLynn, who has Type 1 diabetes. The service dog lets the rising country star know when her blood sugar levels are low, waking her up in the middle of the night when necessary.
But beyond that, he and his Chihuahua sister Dolly are the Doing It To Country Songs Tour unofficial mascots.
“They have their own bunk. Jazz sleeps on half the bunk, and Dolly’s cage goes at the end of the bunk,” the “Love Triangle” singer tells Cody during a recent trip to a Nashville dog park with Jazz. “Dolly and Jazz are like the mascots of the tour. Everybody is always wondering where they are at all times. I’ve had Dolly since I was 18.”
Adds RaeLynn in her best Blake accent, “Blake goes, ‘Is that dog still alive?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, it’s still alive.’”
Look for RaeLynn’s debut performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (3/24). Her new album WildHorse is out the same day.
