Report: Taylor Swift To Launch Streaming Service

Taylor Swift’s business empire could be growing.

According to TMZ, the one-time country superstar is gearing up to launch a website “featuring non-downloadable multi-media content in the nature of audio recordings,” otherwise known as a streaming service.

Rumored to be called “Swifties,” the streaming service comes amid Taylor’s longstanding feud with Spotify, from which she removed her catalog of music in 2014, over royalty disagreements.

Taylor isn’t the first artist to launch his or her own streaming service. Jay Z is the famous name behind TIDAL, a streaming service that claims to have the highest percentage of royalties to artists and songwriters.

Reportedly, Taylor will also launch a line of music products, including guitars, guitar picks, guitar straps and drumsticks.
