One big happy family capped the mid-season finale of Nashville Thursday night (3/9) on CMT, and that family is about to get a plus one.
Following two episodes of heavy emotions after the tragic death of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton), the Nashville family, including Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), Avery (Jonathan Jackson), Will (Chris Carmack), Scarlett (Clare Bowen), Gunnar (Sam Palladio), Deacon (Charles Esten), Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella), comes together to honor the late character with a show-closing musical segment.

After the tribute, the ensemble embraces as they exit Highway 65, and Scarlett lets the cat out of the bag.
“I’m pregnant,” she tells Gunnar.
But is he the father? Or is Damien, The Exes’ one-time music video director and Scarlett’s recent lover, the daddy?

Before the pregnancy bombshell, the episode also finds Maddie on a media tour in New York City with Juliette, who offers to manage the younger Jaymes’ career. Deacon continues grieving by reading Rayna’s old journals and watching old home movies of his late wife. Meanwhile, Zach attempts to get Deacon to allow a struggling Highway 65 to release his duets album with Rayna, her final project. The two appear to reach an agreement when the ensemble presents Zach with their Rayna tribute.
