“I’m a dark character,” she says of her character “Ruby Adair.” “I’ve got a lot of flaws and demons, and I’m having a lot of problems in my personal life. My town is being disrupted and I’m having to deal with it all. I’m under a lot of stress.”
The series marks Reba’s first dramatic role and the latest since her sitcom Malibu Country was cancelled in 2013.
“I play a sheriff in a small town in Kentucky... How my town and myself deal with this outsider that’s helping us—it’s a great story.”
