Thomas Rhett had a “pretty rad” time at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The budding superstar represented country well, winning “Best Country Artist” and performing his latest single “Star of the Show.”
Country’s only performer on the show, TR took to the stage to accept his first iHeartRadio Music Award and thank his wife Lauren and their bun in the oven.
“My wife is 18 weeks pregnant right now,” Thomas said, “so this is also our unborn daughter’s first award show, so that’s pretty rad!”
He then gave props to iHeartRadio for bringing music of all kinds together.
“I love this awards show so much because it’s so cool to have country, hip-hop, pop—so many genres—all in the same room and respecting each other and loving music,” Thomas added.
Kelsea Ballerini, Florida Georgia Line, Billy Ray Cyrus and Chris Lane also represented country music by attending the fourth annual show.
