The Taylor drought will soon be over.
The former country star, who has released new music every two years since her debut album dropped in 2006, devastated fans nationwide when she broke her new-music pattern in 2016, instead opting for a break after the record-breaking success of her 1989 era.
But that break may soon be over—at least according to best friend and fellow music superstar Ed Sheeran.
“Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year—Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records,” the “Shape of You” singer tells the BBC.
Taylor has made a small handful of personal appearances since she wrapped The 1989 World Tour in 2015, keeping mum herself on the release of any potential new music.
