Clothes could be coming off this year at the ACMs.
In a new interview with the Tennessean, hosts Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan reveal they are planning a diversion in case of an Oscars-style debacle at the ACM Awards.
“We have a plan,” Dierks jokes. “Luke’s going to have a wardrobe malfunction. At least that way everyone talks about that and not the show.” Luke adds he and his now two-time co-host know just how to “train wreck the show” to distract attention away from their hosting job.
The snafu in question at the Academy Awards caused the wrong movie to be announced as the winner for "Best Picture." While the accounting firm responsibility for the mistake has since issued an apology, the Academy has vowed it will launch an investigation of the way winner envelopes are handled.
“We played it so loose last year at the top, we could have had our own Oscar moment,” Dierks says.
See if they play it loose in 2017 when the 52nd Annual ACM Awards air live from Las Vegas April 2 on CBS.
