Luke Bryan Challenges Michael Phelps to a Swim Off

Luke Bryan did more than sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl.

The country superstar met legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps during the big game and told an audience of radio professionals Thursday (2/23) at Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, after “a few beers,” he presented a challenge to the G.O.A.T.

Luke Bryan fans are sharing their condolences after news broke that the singer’s niece has passed away.

“The next morning Caroline let me know that I had challenged Michael Phelps to a swim off at my house,” the “Fast” singer told the packed house at the Ryman auditorium.

Luke took to Twitter the next day to share a photo of himself with Phelps, writing “good to meet ya.”

Swimming with an Olympic gold medalist aside, Luke’s singing will be back on display on his Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour, which kicks off May 5 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
