4 Reasons Why Carrie Underwood is Obsessed with Runaway June

If Carrie Underwood’s gonna love somebody, she better love country music’s next big girl trio.

Lately, the country superstar hasn’t been shy about her love of Naomi Cooke, Jennifer Wayne and Hannah Mulholland of rising country group Runaway June.

The trio is climbing the charts with their debut single “Lipstick,” and if Carrie has anything to do with it, their notoriety will keep growing.

Here are the “4 Reasons Why Carrie Underwood is Obsessed with Runaway June”:

1.  Carrie took to Twitter to share lyrics from Runaway June’s catchy single “Lipstick” along with a heart emoji.

The girls quickly responded to Carrie’s tweet with their own love for the “Dirty Laundry” singer.

2.  Carrie often favorites Runaway June's tweets celebrating big moments in their young country career, including one following Runaway June’s debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry.

3. Carrie has been sending multiple country females items from her Calia by Carrie Underwood line of athleisure wear. Among those lucky ladies was Runaway June’s own Jennifer Wayne.

4. Carrie invited Runaway June to perform as part of her all-female background singers during her performance at the CMA Awards last November.

The band recalls being selected by Carrie for the big performance.“When we were standing there and it was happening we were still wondering how it happened,” they said. “She has been in the industry for so long and she’s really stayed on the top. She’s never been in the tabloids for anything weird and she represents our genre to the upmost. And you know what? She seriously somehow just keeps getting better and prettier!”

Runaway June is the first all-girl trio to notch a Top 30 single since SheDaisy did it a decade ago.
