A track on Reba’s new album Sing It Now sounds like a song Carrie Underwood would sing.
At least according to Reba herself.
The country legend reveals in an exclusive interview she was afraid she wouldn’t get the chance to sing “God and My Girlfriends,” track 13 on the record, before Carrie decided she wanted to record it.
“God and My Girlfriends” is a song I had for many years... and I was so afraid that Carrie Underwood was going to take it before I finally got to record it. [“God and My Girlfriends”] sounds like a Carrie song,” Reba tells Cody.
The fellow Oklahomans have a mutual love for each other. Carrie once revealed storytelling songs like Reba’s “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” inspired her 2015 album Storyteller.
